Thankful Thursday: YOU!

Yes...you!  You, who are reading this post; I am thankful for every one of you!

Manny is curled up, while
Chili Bruce decided he needed to 'air it out'

I appreciate the words of encouragement and suggestions for improvement of the integration process.  The sheer, gut-wrenching emotion of yesterday has dissipated, but the wound needs time to scar over.  Maybe we can blame it all on the full-blue-red-super-eclipse moon?!?

This was the best I could do!

So, let's get HOPPING!  Thanks, Brian's Home Blog, for sponsoring!

  6. You guys argue? We use to but not now....its not worth the effort. It could be this lunar eclipse thingy...it upset alot of kitties. Not us...nothin' happened here.

  11. Hang in there! And what a spooky looking photo. (The moon, not the cats!)

  12. Aww ... the boys are so cute! I know the pain of cats not getting along. After I adopted Bear, he and Kitty got into it regularly for 8 months until she died. We were all miserable. I tried to separate them but Bear would always rip up carpet in front of the closed door. That said, Bear and Ellie have had their differences ... but he's finally coming around after a good 6-8 months. Ellie's not his best friend, but he's not all out attacking her nearly as frequently. I guess I'm saying I've been in both situations ... and peace is still possible in an integrated household (The Boy said many many times that we'd have to return Ellie - but eventually, things calmed down).

  14. Frodo is always airing it out! Have you considered trying clomacalm pill for Angel? It;s like prozac for cats. I had four cats before these guys and two of them would fight so badly that I would come home and there would be tufts of fur and even dots of blood sometimes. My vet recommended Clomacalm for the older cat and it really worked. They never loved each other but they actually started to sleep beside each other and the fights stopped!

  15. I'm sure they'll accept each other soon! Sometimes it can take few weeks until cats are socialized, so don't give up!!
